Hi

I have been using Wsus Package Publisher for some time now and works perfectly. It is invaluable for deploying non-MS updates.

However, I have an instance running on my client PC, and I get a COM Exception error every time I try to use "Show Pending Updates" on any PC. All of the following work :

Detect Now (command sent successfully)
Report Now (command sent successfully)
Install pending updates (command sent successfully)
Show current logon user
Show WindowsUpdate log

The following have been untested since we've never had the need to use :

Clean SoftwareDistribution directory
Reboot remote computer

I've compared the WPP-GUID.log between the server that works and my PC which doesn't (I think I've included the pertinent content) ...

Server that does work :

03/02/2017 10:29:04 Entering Void ctxMnuComputer_ItemClicked(System.Object, System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItemClickedEventArgs) : ShowPendingUpdates
03/02/2017 10:29:04 Entering Void .ctor() : FrmRemoteExecution
03/02/2017 10:29:04 Entering Wsus_Package_Publisher.Credentials GetInstance()
03/02/2017 10:29:04 lblCredentialNotice has for Text value : Features connecting to remote computers will use crendentials that have been specified in the options. (<loginname>)

Client PC that doesn't :

03/02/2017 10:45:26 Entering Void ctxMnuComputer_ItemClicked(System.Object, System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItemClickedEventArgs) : ShowPendingUpdates
03/02/2017 10:45:26 Entering Void .ctor() : FrmRemoteExecution
03/02/2017 10:45:26 Entering Wsus_Package_Publisher.Credentials GetInstance()
03/02/2017 10:45:26 lblCredentialNotice has for Text value : Features connecting to remote computers will use crendentials that have been specified in the options. (<loginname>)

Up to now I've been happy to use the server directly ... I just wondered what the issue could be.

I must say, great product guys.

Thanks in advance.
