Removing Approved Updates from downstream WSUS servers

Topics: Configuration Issue

Hi,
We installed WSUS package installer on the main WSUS server and some packages have been deployed. I have just come onboard and looked at the other WSUS sites by adding the replica servers into the software. I can now see that updates that were created>approved>not approved>deleted on the main wsus site are appearing on the replica sites. These are therefore going out to the clients still.
I cannot unapprove this software remoting from the main wsus server to the replica site or uninstalling the wsus packager on the replica site as the box is greyed out.
Is there a way of stopping the deleted updates that are on the main server, going out from the replica sites?
Many Thanks
Darren

Hi, deletion is not a replicated activities. So you need to delete the update by connecting to the wsus relica itself.

Hi,
Thank you for getting back to me. I connected to the replicated server and unfortunately the boxes were greyed out.
I can only right click the update and select Expire. However this does not have any effect.
I understand that the update was removed from the main WSUS server.
Regards,
Darren

I have now further an issue in that I have a package that has been sent out from the main WSUS site to remote sites.
I wanted to remove this package however this option is greyed out on the replica servers.
Should we deploy and approve the packages from the replica servers?
