Hi Guys,
i created with Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition an msi file for adobe indesign cs 6.0.3. I imported via drap and drop the msi file to wpp, added all folders and as i click on publish: i get a error message:

The logfile shows me follow lines:
22.08.2013 19:09:36 ThreadException. Something Went Wrong
22.08.2013 19:09:36 **** Der angegebene Pfad und/oder Dateiname ist zu lang. Der vollständig qualifizierte Dateiname muss kürzer als 260 Zeichen und der Pfadname kürzer als 248 Zeichen sein.
22.08.2013 19:09:36 Entering Void .ctor() : FrmSendDebugInfo
22.08.2013 19:09:44 Entering Void lnkLblShowInformations_LinkClicked(System.Object, System.Windows.Forms.LinkLabelLinkClickedEventArgs)
Exist's a workaround or something else for this problem?

Hi Badwurzach,

This happen because you try to publish folders that have many subfolders, which lead to too long path. WPP needs to copy these files and folder to a TEMP folder so that WSUS can create a CAB. The TEMP folder used by WPP is %TEMP%\Wsus Package Publisher\Random GUID. I realize now, that in some case there can lead to such error you encountered.
The workaround for now, is to change the mapping of the Environnement variable %TEMP% to point to a shorter path (for example C:\Temp)

In the next release of WPP, I will shorten the path used.

Hi DCourtel,
your workaround works great. Thank you very much.
My idea is to create a option for a customer path in the settings.

Même si nous utilisons c:\temp
Avec 2 guid dans le chemin, nous perdons plus de 80 caractères.
J'attends avec impatience le V2

Even if we use c:\temp.
With two guid in the path, We lose more than eighty characters.
I look forward to the V2 ^^
