Should I see my published Apps in the WSUS Package Publisher Console

I have deployed (successfully as far as I am concerned) Acrobat 11 and 6 updates and Flash 12.0.0.70 and I think its a great product.

After I publish a package I see it listed in the WSUS Package Publisher Console (WSUSPP Console) .

If I close down the WSUS Package Publisher Console re-open the console then package disappears so I can't see what I have published now.

Is this by design ? or am I doing something wrong ?

Hi Nigel,
If you have do so that locally-published updates are visible in the Wsus Console, so you need to check the checkbox "Show Locally-Published Updates that are also visible in Wsus Console" (in the 'Updates' tab of the 'Settings' window.

Many thanks. I am off-site until tomorrow but will do so as soon as I get it.

I must say that this product is just what I have been searching for for many years. I have a central site with 50+ remote sites connected via VPN. Until now we were using Group policy software deployment - but this had the following drawbacks.

1) network Traffic was not BITS throttled and a large install (Major version of Acrobat Reader) could bring the network to a halt and break connectivity for 100+ terminal services users
2) Software installation at start-up meant delays when people switched on their PC's of up to 30 minutes
3) Software installation especially with some combinations of Wireless/drivers/and dhcp over a non Microsoft Vlan switch was problematic.

I think this product is wonderful.

I will be telling all my friend (But as a 50yr old geek you may appreciate that I don't have many!)
