Release Notes

  • Updated WPP to recognize the very latest console version.
  • Some files was missing into the latest release of WPP which lead to crash when trying to make a custom update.
  • Add a workaround to avoid clipboard modification when double-clicking on a label when creating a custom update.
  • Add the ability to publish detectoids. (This feature is still in a BETA phase. Packages relying on these detectoids to determine which computers need to be updated, may apply to all computers).

Reviews for this release

Project is absolutely brilliant! And your support in the forum.

Just a zip file, no msi to install it, though the pages refer to installation. Documentation is just a bunch of hyperlinks, no actual documentation. UI has random commas spread through text. It doesn't actually do anything but seem to demand I set up a server, but the UI doesn't let you submit a server. Demands to be run as admin, unacceptable in any environment with security.

Overall this project is absolutely brilliant! As well as your support in the forum. To all those asking for more assistance / a better documentation: Be aware that playing with WSUS and WPP is for professionals only. If you have problems understanding the docs you might first learn more about the whole concept not to ruin your employers network of client machines. Thank you WPP crowd for this amazing tool :)

The software is awsome but please give us same more info in the documentation. For example: Which services need to be running and/or which firewall rules need to be enabled or custom port opened. I am unable to "Delete Software Update Folder" from WPP You stated that these have to be opened. SMB, 445 MSRPC, 135 + Dynamic Port DCOM, Dynamic Port WMI, Dynamic Port I did but no go. Can you give a tutorial for this using GP?
